IJS GLOBAL’s JFK office approved as Certified Cargo Screening Facility
STAMFORD, CT (September 1, 2009)—This is the first of 3 offices to be certified this year. We are looking forward to completing our initial task of having each of our gateways (JFK,LAX,ORD) certified for Cargo Screening. This will enable IJS Global to further ensure the integrity and security of all our customers cargo, said Mickey Diaz COO, by screening our own cargo we reduce the processing time and minimize the amount of transfers of our customer’s freight, while maintaining compliance to TSA regulations for Air Cargo. ORD and LAX are next up for audit and certification , and as we have upgraded our facilities with state of the art security and screening equipment we are confident we will be successful in those locations as well.
This project was not inexpensive stated Giorgio Laccona CEO of IJS Global, the equipment, initial and ongoing training, is a heavy cost for an organization to bear, especially in these times. However, as a US based company we have a strong commitment to all Homeland Security and TSA efforts and we are pleased to add this certification and process to our current security programs, which include IJS Global CTPAT certification earned in 2005.
We will continue our ongoing commitment to our customers and to the security initiatives being applied to our industry.
