STAMFORD, CT (June 1, 2009)—With the Egypt Economy Growing at 4.3% in the 1st quarter driven by Construction, Telecoms and transportation it made sense to expand IJS Global to Egypt said Giorgio Laccona, President and CEO of the global company. The economy of the most populous Arab country has proved more resilient to the global recession than many economists had expected.
According to Luciano Vladimir, General Manager of IJS Global Cairo, the government now forecasts growth of between 4 percent and 4.5 percent in the fiscal year through June, compared with the 4 percent forecast last month and IJS Global has the air and ocean transportation networks in place to support this activity. Mr Vladimir has been in the logistics field for more than 30 years and has spent most of those years working on international business development with large global multinational companies.
