STAMFORD, CT (August 1, 2007)--IJS Global, Inc., the fast growing air and ocean freight forwarder, customs broker and non vessel operating common carrier, today announced it has launched operations in South Korea with the opening of a company-owned operation headquartered in Seoul.
Operational as of August 1, IJS Global Korea Inc. has locations in Seoul, Masan, Busan and Incheon, with operating facilities in Seoul and Busan. It is headed by Y.S. Lee, a 25 year industry veteran with stints at the former Air Express International Corp., and Menlo Worldwide Forwarding, among others. Lee supervises a staff recruited from the former AEI, Menlo, UPS and others. The average tenure of the 14 professionals on the IJS Global Korea staff is 10 years.
South Korea becomes the eighth IJS location in Asia. It will handle air and ocean imports and exports, warehousing and distribution, customs brokerage, domestic transport, project cargo and vendor-managed inventory services.
