IJS GLOBAL LAUNCHES OPERATIONS IN SINGAPORE

BY ACQUIRING ASSETS OF FREIGHTMEN PTE

Philip Ng Named Regional Director of Southeast Asia

STAMFORD, CT (October 26, 2006) - IJS Global, Inc., the fast-growing freight forwarder, customs broker and non-vessel operating common carrier, continued its Asian expansion by establishing an operation in Singapore, IJS Global Singapore Pte Ltd., and by acquiring certain assets of Freightmen Pte Ltd., one of Singapore’s leading forwarders, for an undisclosed sum.

IJS Global will retain Freightmen’s entire staff, including Managing Director Alec YH Koh, who will continue to run the day-to-day operation.

In a related development, IJS Global named Philip Ng to the newly created position of Regional Director, Southeast Asia. A 15-year logistics industry veteran, Ng will be responsible for all IJS Global activities in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, and Thailand. All country managers in the region, including Alec Koh, will report to Ng.

Founded in 1981 as an airfreight concern, Freightmen expanded into ocean freight forwarding in 1986 and subsequently broadened its capabilities by adding customs brokerage, warehousing and distribution. Freightmen was the first air cargo agent in Singapore to manage transactions electronically, ushering in a new era in the nation’s air trade.

Singapore is the latest Asian market to be served by IJS Global.  IJS Global has acquired companies in China, Hong Kong and the Philippines, recently opened its first company-owned Asian operation in Taiwan, and entered into a joint venture to serve Thailand. It has also expanded into the Sri Lankan market by acquiring the assets of Roton Vander (Freighting) Ltd., the nation’s leading logistics specialist.

“With a long track record of innovation and leadership, Freightmen’s professionals will help us build a significant presence in this regional hub,” said John Gallahan, President and CEO, Asia-Pacific and Americas, IJS Global. “Combining 25 years of experience with a willingness to adapt to a changing environment, Freightmen’s management team has earned the trust of the customers and carriers in Singapore.”

Gallahan continued, “Philip Ng is a terrific addition to our Asian management team. Our development in the region will be accelerated due to his understanding of the diverse logistic needs of Southeast Asia’s shippers and importers.”

“IJS Global will benefit immediately from Freightmen’s expertise and knowledge of the Singapore market,” said Philip Ng. “We are delighted to have such a world-class provider enter our network and we join their management team in celebrating its silver anniversary as part of the growing IJS Global family of companies.”
